Allegion is a global security products and solutions company headquartered in Carmel, Indiana, spun off from Ingersoll Rand in 2013. The company is one of the world's largest manufacturers of mechanical and electronic security hardware, with a portfolio of brands that includes Schlage, Von Duprin, LCN, SARGENT, CECO Door, and many others serving commercial and residential markets.

In the commercial construction market, Allegion brands are specified on virtually every project involving controlled access — from Schlage cylindrical and mortise locksets to Von Duprin exit devices, LCN door closers, and SARGENT locks and closers. The company also produces hollow metal and specialty doors through its CECO Door brand. Allegion products are specified by architects and security consultants, then distributed through door and hardware distributors and installed by door hardware contractors.

Allegion maintains an extensive specification support infrastructure including online tools, BIM objects, AHC (Architectural Hardware Consultant) certification support, and project management resources for complex openings schedules.
